If that was so then none of our faves have impact

WFL did have an impact on the EDM songs that came after it
That breakdown DID inspire a lot of tracks that came after it
What's more WFL is the 24th biggest song of all time according to billboard
But it has no impact I guess

People saying We Found Love wasn't the first EDM track should realize that Like a Prayer or even Vogue were released at a time when the dance genre was trendy and yet they both had immense impact and are considered classics just as how Crazy in Love was released when urban was huge and trendy and still is deemed of having impact or just as poker face or bad romance were released at a time when dance pop was trendy and both are said to have impact, I don't see why WFL would be denied of it's impact simply on the basis of it not being the first EDM hit.

Honestly, WFL inspired the EDM breakdown instrumental after the chorus trend that went on in 2011/2012.

It will be considered a classic dance song in 10-15 years..a perfect dance song with somber lyrics..It's something Robyn would have done tbh. But Rihanna brought that song to life!

Also, nobody considers Party Rock Anthem to be EDM. Please tell me how many times you would hear that song played at EDM festivals. I can bet that it's zero. When I attended EDC in 2012, I heard WFL played and mixed by nearly every famous DJ whose sets I attended.
