What she is saying/doing is wrong, and you can't blame her for saying it. She has nothing going her way, her career is never going to kick off, so she just wants to be famous for being a complete bitch. But hey, since you are gay, it's okay to push on this idiot using discriminating words that describe you because you like a song or two of her's, or because she's starting **** with someone you don't like.
And not just the f-word thing. No one should be supporting her bullying of Iggy either. This idiot is just looking for drama to start because her career is non-existent.

Those are actually the types of people she is referring to.
The LGBT community is a joke because it doesn't respect its own self. Look at our so called representatives within the media. Perez, really?
Look at how we portray ourselves. How we judge & further break our own allies down.
And yes, this is a generalization. But it unfortunately happens to be the most prominent image we're conveying.

Actually, I'm not offended, because the word doesn't describe or apply to me. I don't allow it to.
Those who are "offended" are weak-willed beings. Did you miss my coming out story, where I proclaimed I was a proud "******"?
There is no self-hating going on here boo. Only self-awareness & self-confidence.

This they are sheep for drama and celebs. They live for this stuff she also said how she wants to kill white men too. I'm black and to see this hatred coming from one of my own is disturbing and to see people condoning it is quite spooky.

Yeah, sorry, I'm never going to buy into this idea that you shouldn't be allowed to think negatively of people just because they're more popular than you. Your argument boiling down to "She's just doing this because she has no career" when she's a multi-millionaire just show's that you're ignorant and trying to dismiss her in the simplest way possible.

Oh lord, this awful attempt to justify what your fav is doing causes no harm is simply embarrassing.
Listen, I hate Perez too. I wouldn't give a damn if he dropped dead. He is a mess and a joke to the LGBT community. But to go ahead and call him a ****** in every single tweet? That is truly uncalled for. The word doesn't offend me, you, or a handful of any other people. But that isn't the case for everyone. Do I care about your coming out story? No I do not, nor will I ever. But if the word doesn't apply to you, then good for you! One less thing to worry about! But that doesn't apply for everyone. People have been bullied, killed, nearly killed while hearing that word every day. People get over it, some don't. Just because you are stronger when it comes to that word than other, doesn't mean it's alright for people to say.

I mind a lot when a straight white man says things like he wants to murder ******s throughout his life (Eminem).
I mind a lot when people sit in my classrooms and tell me to my face there's something wrong with my soul.
I mind a lot when people vote to strip me of me rights.
I mind a lot when people hunt and humiliate my brothers on camera in Russia.
A crazy angry 23 year old girl calling Perez ****ing Hilton a ****** in a fit of rage on Twitter?
Sorry, no. I'm 22 and I know my priorities. I know the homophobia that's actually worth spending time on, because I've lived through it. Don't sit there having never lived through what I have and tell me you know better about being gay than me. I would never pretend to know what being black was better than you

HOLD IT THERE, I speak my mind too but the fact that she had to say ****** this, ****** that, to get her point across, in which she didn't cause she lost it all with the use of ******s. It's like me calling her ****** this ****** that to get my point cross would lose its meaning. she's an "artist" so she should act professional. She sounds like us the ones who aren't at her "level" which wouldn't be hard to reach. So her point lost its meaning and I'm not offended with the use of ******s, we'll maybe just a little cause she downed all the gays and I'm far from that. It's like me saying "all black people are stupid" which is not true.

Yeah, and I think both are in the wrong here. Azealia keeps talking herself into a hole
Quote:
|
After Hilton and other observers decried Banks's language, she became indignant. "A ****** is not a homosexual male. A ****** is any male who acts like a female. There's a BIG difference," she wrote. "As a bisexual person I knew what I meant when I used that word … When I said acts like a female I should've said acts like a ****." Her only apology was appended with a "lol".
|
So men should be condemned for acting like females, yet no one can challenge her femininity..She's just making her case weaker and weaker. Regardless of what Perez says, I can only look at Azealia as how she responds to him and other gay people. Claiming all ******s need to be checked and gay men are this or that just makes her look very ignorant. Perez made a career out of bullying celebrities and Azealia appears to be doing the same.

Nah you're gonna have to step back a bit and look at a bigger picture my dude. Anyone can speak their mind yeah, but that doesn't justify spouting off ignorant ****. And by her doing so it definitely brings down any positive light she shed on everything going down in the US right now with racism by showing her ignorance to another group of oppressed people. Its completely counterproductive to speak about how you want things to change for a group you're involved with and turn around only to speak negatively about another. She's not the final authority on gay people in any sense either, so why is her generalization any more accurate? Generalizations like the ones she makes about gay males aren't indicative of a mind that is looking to rid the world of things she says she does, cuz a lot of it goes hand in hand. Gay people and their rights have been a topic of conversation recently in the US the same way racism and rights are right now.
And "gay misogyny" as a term is ****ing ridiculous. That's not the issue, misogyny in general is. And that's perpetuated by everyone involved in keeping patriarchy alive, gay and straight males alike. So to attribute that issue only to gay males as if they're worse off than us (cuz they're not, its way more rampart in straight culture) is ignorant and a statement that derails where the actual focus should be.
Also using a site like this in attempt to bring credibility to blanket statements about the gay population at large isn't very smart.
