Turn The Lights Out is about my depression. I wrote it in June/July. I had it for few months last summer due to a really traumatic experience. I see the song as alt-electro pop-rock. It's slow but then builds up and then after the every chorus there's a dance breakdown.

Blue Eyes is about a guy I (used to) like but know is dangerous.
I see the song having an alt folky pop sound like Lana del Rey or something but with more catchiness and receptiveness.

For obvious reasons, I like Blue Eyes eons better. I don't think they're awesome or anything (I'm still making some changes there and there!) but I just thought it was time I shared something of mine after posting here a few times.

So, I just bumped into the guy who inspired me to write Blue Eyes today after for not seeing him in awhile. He didn't acknowledge me or start a conversation (mind you, we were in the same surroundings for good 30 minute) until I was about to leave.

Anyways, when I talked him for at least two minutes, he took my arm and hugged me when I walked away. Of course I was caught off guard and blushed. I left immediately.

The only good thing out of this is that I think wrote my best song yet. It's called 'Blush'. I'm not done yet, I just need to come up with a bridge and those can be tricky mother****ers. I cannot wait to finish and share it!

Been writing songs like a manic the past few days, whenever I pick up my guitar I manage to write a song every time. Proud with my lyrics quality and some messages I'm expressing too. Now I need to learn how to use Fl Studio so I can make some songs come alive rather then just guitar with my lame singing.

I'm currently on the search for a session band to play with when I gig as playing acoustic sets all the time is boring, especially when you're doing an hour! Had a really great response, found myself a drummer, guitarist and bass player. Just need to find a keyboard player now and then I'm ready to start practicing so we can get out and perform!
