IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE GRAMMY: As Ken Ehrlich points out in our just-posted Q&A, the Recording Academy will roll out the Grammy noms on Friday via a combo of broadcast and online. Four categories will be announced on CBS This Morning, followed by a series of tweets throughout the day, each revealing a specific area. The Album Of The Year nominees will be saved for the CBS special A Very Grammy Christmas, airing 9-10pm ET/PT. Here are the specifics:

8:30am ET: Announcement on CBS This Morning
9am-2pm ET: Announcements on Twitter
2pm ET: List of noms (except Album Of The Year) posted on www.grammy.com/nominees
9pm ET-PT: A Very Grammy Christmas special on CBS
10pm ET: Press release and complete nominations list (all 83 categories) posted on

Ehrlich also reveals he’ll be on the roof of the Capitol Tower tonight filming Sam Smith singing the bittersweet classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” to air on the show. That oughta be memorable. (12/3a)

This is the dumbest thing the Grammy committee has ever come up with. Stop trying to generate suspense just give us the info straight out. By the way I liked the way they have been doing it during the concert. I do not want to sit through an hour a bad singing to get one nomination. Dumb.
