Because people can lie in this industry. They can meet you and be like 'Oh my god I love you, such a fan' and then tweets mean or shady things about you out of nowhere.
She thought Taylor was just being nice and kind but didn't think what she said and she then found out she was honest.
I understand Gaga. It's hard to know if someone's just being kind or honest with you
