Violence was too excessive. It was probably the wrong verdict but this is achieving nothing. This rioting is distracting from the real issue. Tbh he should be given a warning, he shouldn't have said that.

Accept that the family repeatedly said not to resort to violence. Burn this b down is common slang. it's not literally burning something down. This sounds like they are just going after the Michael Brown family because they are upset police power is being questioned.

I've heard the mother say that but it was a stupid thing to say, it came out badly. He shouldn't be jailed or anything, just a warning

Well police power shouldn't be questioned

honestly I think this has been kinda blown out of proportion in terms of the race issue, there isn't any compelling evidence I've seen that any potential overreaction by the police officer was based on race. Maybe he was provoking him somehow, we just don't know

Either way the shooting wasn't right though.

Well no **** it's probably not the best thing to do but when you are the ones most personally affected by the death and millions of others feel anger, how do you expect to react? Remain calm?

This will just cause more violent protests. He had just found out that the man who murdered his son wouldn't even be charged because of white supremacy, did they expect him smile and say thank you?

Feel free to clock me on this, but wasn't the jury made up of citizens from the area? I mean, if anything you'd expect the news to have biased them to vote to charge him, there must have been some reason for their decision.

Unless there's something I don't know, which tbh is pretty likely.

What was the context of the song lyrics? The song lyrics suggests it was common slang. That's why people use it in their songs.

This x100%. The police are upset that the nation/world has been questioning the verdict and casting doubt on them for rigging the outcome, and now they are responding with as much force as they possibly can. They're even trying to get the players from the St. Louis rams that did the 'hands up don't shoot' sign suspended and threatening to sue them/the NFL. They're attacking people for expressing their right to free speech now.

If there wasn't any clearer indication that they have something to hide then I don't know what is.

This all will come back to bite them and all their supporters in the ass and I honestly can't wait for to see that day, because if things keep trending the way they are, it will be very soon.
