Jessie J worried for her chart peaks due to younger popstars
Quote:
The British star has been wowing music lovers since her debut single Do It Like a Dude was released in 2010, but admits she often worries her place in the charts is at risk due to younger stars.
"It's not a conscious push [to break America]. No, it is a conscious push," she backtracked to the UK edition of Glamour magazine.
"It's working. Otherwise it's like half making a wedding cake and it being so sick, and then just leaving it. Finish it. It feels like it's now or never because there are young girls coming up behind me, going, 'I'm coming to take your place.'"
She's delivered a few really good songs on her debut and then her second album was terrible and her 3rd is on-par with her 1st. The only place she has is in the UK, and she's working hard to build one in the US.
I admire her passion and dedication, but saying that there are young girls coming to take her place is delusional, given that she has no place to begin with.
Tbh she's right it literally now or never for her. She is a female. If she passes the 26-27 age range without really smashing she won't become a top pop girl.
She has her feet firmly on the ground and is coming at the Billboard Hot 100 like a dark horse.
She's so hard working!
No wonder JessieJHeartbeat's account has been inactive for so long.

This right here ( most women have such a small gap to get themselves out their)
