You're taking that quote out of context. That quote refers to freedom of political thought; that one should be able to present their unpopular opinion that goes against the political grain. There's no underlying idea behind "go kill yourself." That's just a malicious attack on a person. Misquoting for your agenda is transparent and a big no-no

Also, human rights is a vague term that means nothing. Nothing is ever in black or white

"Go kill yourself" is not a threat. It's a suggestion. Yes, mean and offensive, but in a free society one is allowed to be mean and offensive.This person should not have been jailed for such comments, or penalized by the justice system in any way. In a society that values freedom of speech, you are allowed to make such attacks on people through the internet. Imagine if Obama proposed similar laws in America, people would not stand for it, it would be simply unthinkable. Terrible, draconian law.

The internet is a malicious place filled with all kinds of people, once you're in the internet you're subjected to all these people, it's YOUR responsability, it's YOUR problem. Many internet trolls have told me to kill myself, and I laugh at their faces. WELCOME to the real world, people are mean, people are angry, people have psycological problems. Deal with it.

i think what he's referring to is jailing people to make an example out of them ("promote awareness", my ass), which is kind of violating the right of the law treating everyone equally (which isn't an absolute right but it's one that first world societies value pretty strongly, or say they do at least)

They were trying to make an example with her that's why she got a harsh sentence.

I don't think bullying should result in a prison sentence (maybe a caution if it's very harsh) but death threats and rape threats should result in a punishment.
