It's actually so symbolic that Mockingjay, a film so heavily-centered around the media and its power, has now had its own power upon the media and real-world events. It's crazy.
FYI, Mockingjay references have been widely used in messy riots in Ferguson and other places as well. Could this be the reason?
read the lyrics , they are explicit - there is suicide (or was it lynching?) and other less PG things in them > which is all aimed towards children. although i do think Ferguson played a part.
I also wonder why Mockingjay is getting badly reviewed when almost everyone is walking out of the cinema in shock at how amazing and relatable the film is to current events
