The only people that have giving me Hate tend to be mostly from Blacks.
They probably envy you tbh. They probably think people like you have an easier life with more financial security. But there are some bad apples in every bunch that you can't reason with or change their narrow-minded views, whether they're from the hood or their from the Hamptons. It still doesn't change the history this nation has; the reason many people across the nation still hold certain views.
This isn't true unless you look Mexican and happen to be near a border state. But even then you aren't gonna be treated like **** especially in major cities like New York or Miami where there's tons of diversity. And I've never heard of Brazilians being treated badly.
I'm a native brazilian, my mother is lebanese descendant and my dad is german descendant , my face has strong arab features but my skin is light and I'm blue-eyed.
The only people that have giving me Hate tend to be mostly from Blacks. But I did get Hate from Whites when I was in Virginia in some rural area though. I went with my friends to do some Water Rafting trip. They did not like that we spoke Spanish.
Also I was in California in a museum and a Mexican American did not like that I spoke spanish and he insulted me and my family and call me a 'Wetback'. Even though I did not cross no river to get to the USA
From what I heard from my friends who went to the US before, most south americans/latinos are seem as "goddamn illegals who should be shot".
I'm a pale Latino with some prominent black features,so when i went on vacation in Spain,I felt a little weary of some discrimination. But it was fine. However,i didn't get many hits on my Grindr accound as opposed to at home in NYC .
I am a Black American and I didn't really experience any outward racism in the European countries I've traveled to; however, my experience there is limited to time periods maxing out at 2-3 weeks in each country and a few days per city. The only noticeably different treatment at times was in Spain and Italy -- a lot of the men were pretty aggressive towards the Black girls. The White girls weren't bothered much, but we got a lot of attention and advances from men. I was never really quite sure what to make of it because I don't think it was just because of our race because I noticed the African women in the cities weren't being pursued in the same manner, but they were a lot more common. IDK if it was a novelty thing or what with the factors involving our race combined with nationality and seeming exotic to them because of that or what, but it was odd and flat out uncomfortable at times. It made me wonder what kind of stereotypes or preconceived notions there were possibly held about Black American women that led to that.

A Mexican American called you a wetback? That's kind of ironic, no?
