Madonna is joined by children David and Mercy as she announces plans to build 300 schools in Malawi
She adopted two children from Malawi and her charity Raising Malawi aims to help bring an end to poverty in the south eastern African country.
And during her latest trip to the nation, Madonna has brought her adopted children - Mercy James and David Banda along with son Rocco Ritchie to see her charitable efforts for themselves.
The philanthropist visited a school in the town of Kasungu on Sunday with the nine-year-olds by her side and while there announced her plans to build 300 schools across Malawi.
The 56-year-old pop star has been in the African country for the past week to visit schools and hospitals in her ongoing effort to develop the region.
Madonna could be seen in a green tartan skirt and matching blouse for the visit and covered her head in a straw fedora.
'Education is the future,' she told school children, 'The biggest gift I can give you is education.'
The singer laughed and mingled with children, happily sitting on the dusty ground next to them as part of the crowd.
On Friday the pop legend met with Malawian President Peter Mutharika at the Malawi State House.
The duo were seen in a series of photos where they shook hands as the President thanked her for agreeing to fund the construction of a new 50-bed Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Care Unit in the country's commercial capital Blantyre.
He also thanked her for bringing children Mercy and David to visit their birth country.
She told the President of his late brother Bingu wa Mutharika, who was in office until his death in 2012: 'Thank you for welcoming me here. I was a big fan of your brother. He was very kind to us,'
