What are some of your most nostalgic Christmas memories?
With the conclusion of Thanksgiving the Christmas period has begun and soon Christmas spirit will be in full swing. Christmas time truly is my favorite time of the year, it's a very nostalgic time when we often find ourselves reflecting on Christmases in the past.
I remember back when I was a little kid, my family lived in Pasadena, California at the time, we would go Christmas lights watching. We rarely put up lights and if we do their always on the inside. My dad would drive around the neighborhood as well as surrounding neighborhoods and we would see and compare the lights. My brothers and I would always have our faces pressed to glass at time lol. There was this one mansion in an extremely rich part of town that was always decorated amazingly, people would come from all over to see it. We would get out the car and just stand for awhile admiring it. We moved from California in '05 and though its been nearly 10 years the memories are still fresh in my head.
For Christmas of '04 my family and I went to Las Vegas to stay with some of my dad's relatives. I don't remember much about the house but we were out almost every night to sight see and watch shows/events. There was a show about a pirate ship, we went into a casino. There was also a fountain in which many people through their coins in, seriously there were so many in there lol. We left at night and the drive was a couple hours, my brothers and I loved road trips (I still do). I remember on the way we were at a Christmas station and I heard "Last Christmas" by Wham for the first time and though it was Prince

. It was really a happy time and I get so nostalgic thinking about that time. Mario's song "Let Me Love You" was really big at the time (It was the #1 song in the country then) and whenever I hear it I think about that time because it was EVERYWHERE around the time of the trip.
I remember this 1 year my brothers and I got tired of our XBOX, the original one. The cables were messed up and we had had it for years. We told our parents and they knew the XBOX was kind of old. Around Christmas time we got extremely anxious and after my parents came home one day with a bunch of stuff we were sure they bought the XBOX 360. One day we all snuck into my parents room and looked under their bed and saw the 360. We were so happy and jumped for joy, literally

. On Christmas day when we opened our presents we acted like we didn't know

and did the same thing. My dad knew my brother wanted an NCAA game and bought him one but instead of football, what my brother wanted it was basketball

. We of course didn't make a big deal out of it and just played it. He got it switched for the right game later though.
I also for Christmas of 2010, during winter break my little brothers and I had wanted "Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing" all year and when I went to go somewhere with my dad I somehow convinced him to stop by Gamestop and I bought a copy. When I went down to the basement (where we played videogames) I saw my brothers playing Madden and was like "Guess What I have?" and then I quickly pulled it our. We literally had like a mini dance session. I was a great time and I will I could go back to that Moment

but it serves well as a memory.
I get so nostalgic during Christmas its actually quite depressing sometimes. I wanna go back to the times when I was little, watched Charlie Brown specials, went light watching etc. I also do look forward to making many more Christmas memories too.
