am sorry but numerous celebrities have said that when you're that affluent you can easily avoid the paparazzi when u want to. sorry katheryn, no sympathy from me!

sadly when you accept to be a public figure it is not easy to keep safe your privacy.

Pretty sure her main issue was with them telling her to strip for a picture, not because she didn't have privacy...

People are always trying to end threads with something that makes no sense, like you proved a point to everyone.

Nobody has to pay for personal privacy, though. Personal privacy is the privacy you have in your home, hotel room, and in other private places. What you have to pay for is public privacy, like when you're on a beach in Katy's case. Nobody is owed privacy when they're in public, that's why it's called "public". Katy cannot get mad at paparazzi for taking her photo in a public place. Simple as that. Now if they start climbing onto her boat or hotel room, then she can complain.

Imagine if just someone took a picture of you while you were walking.. I cant imagine this 10fold.. paparazzi has no right, but yet they still have taken pictures for countless years and of countless people

I said it in the last thread, she in on a big well publicized tour in Australia, every pap is going to know she is there and want pics, her going to the beach and expecting privacy is just stupid on her part imo.

Many celebrities have excellent relations with the press, especially the Australian press. Maybe Katy is the one with the problem

Paparazzi are nasty and I hate them. Just because it is happening doesn't mean she has to accept it. She has a right to privacy and not being stalked and harassed by pervs.

She's not out doing her job at that time, this is not an appearance as a pop star so the paps have no right to stalk her tbh.

People in this thread AND the reporter who wrote the article didn't get Katy's point at all. It's not about being followed by the paparazzi, she's used to that. It's about how they treated her, intimidated her.

She rarely speaks about paparazzi. It's clear these ones went too far.

Sorry but no. I understand her frustration, I do, but you just can't be a superstar and expect privacy while going to a public beach. Some of her points were correct but all in all she was doing too much.

When a certain singer complains about being harassed by the paparazzi I better not see certain stanbase (who are criticizing Katy for calling them out) defending her complains.

She shouldn't have to go to a private beach though.

Regardless the paparazzi's attitudes were still disgusting. Katy should use private settings next time, even if morally she shouldn't have to, which is unfortunate.
