Is religion really that bad?
I mean, I like the idea of people wanting to live a certain way to get to a sacred place after life, it makes life seem more meaningful and worth living. There are the downsides to religion, but if you take away those flaws, is religion actually that bad? If I knew for certain that Heaven existed, I would live life in a certain way, I might not live it rule by rule, but I would do my best which is all you can do really.
I don't like it when people say Religion should never exist or anything along those lines, because religion brings hope in dark times, when you're down, you feel like you've got nothing and need some hope. That's what religion basically is, hope. Is that such a bad thing?
Right now, life just seems pointless, you live for an average of 80 years and ka plonk, you die and you forget you ever lived, well you don't even get a chance to forget, you just go. Within a second, a whole life lived gone with a snap of a finger, so is religion really that bad?

I won a competition to go see Catching Fire and have him answer questions and I was one of two guys there 
He looked at me whilst answering one of the questions and I was holding my breath and I thought I was gonna suffocate

As long as you don't negatively force others into your beliefs, religion could be a great and beautful thing. Never wrong to practice a certain way of living that brings even more meaning into one's life.

It's ok sometimes but it's when people go too far that it becomes harmful.
