"Rollercoaster" (1999) B*Witched
Hot 100: #67
Days on TRL: —
Overall score: 5.78 High score:10 (PeopleLikeUs) Low score:1 (BlueTimberwolf)
Riding high on the success of "C'est La Vie," the Irish lasses of B*Witched earned a modest follow-up hit in the U.S. with this perky love song full of sugary-sweet come-ons. As with roller coasters, however, all good things must come to an end, and despite earning several more UK #1's, they never again cracked the charts on this side of the pond.
Best bit: They always managed to work in a fiddle breakdown.
The music video... has nary a roller coaster in sight.
"Rollercoaster" was great! But not as superb as "Blame it on the Weatherman".
My copy of their album was almost confiscated when my sister tried to convince my mom that "I got a house with the windows and doors; I'll show you mine if you show me yours" was a very suggestive innuendo for something more than playhouse touring... and it was.
