Friday Report: 'Mockingjay' Crushes Weak Newcomers on Black Friday
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 ruled the Black Friday box office.
The third installment in the Hunger Games franchise added $24.1 million, which is off 56 percent from opening day. That's about on par with Catching Fire's drop at the same point, which is a positive sign for the movie's long-term prospects. To date, Mockingjay has earned $192.7 million, and will pass $200 million on Saturday.
