Madonna never really flops. MDNA which was her "flop" album even sold almost 2 million copies. Most of pop girls would kill for these sales without a huge hit and a big promo like Madonna had.

I actually want both Mariah and Madonna to make jazz albums. They'd be very different but both could bring something great. I just hope neither sound anything like that dreadful Burlesque soundtrack.

Such an amazing album! The shade in this thread is so stale though.

She already made a jazz album and it got praised literally EVERYWHERE at the time. some of the old reviews are still online and they're amazing.

I'm Breathless was not an authentic jazz album. I don't know what's jazz about "Vogue" or "I'm Going Bananas." It had jazz elements in it. It's no comparison to the full on jazz Gaga did. And even on that album her vocals were no different than her standard vocals on her other albums. And at the shade of this topic.

What does a vogue dance have anything to do with the topic at hand. Literally grasping at straws


Vogue was more like a bonus track on that album tbh. It was originally intended to be a B-side for like 7th single from Like A Prayer.

Regardless, I'm Breathless was original material. C2C is just covers. So unoriginal.
