Olly Murs: The music that made me - Justin Timberlake
I'd say Justin Timberlake is the single artist who has had the most influence on me. I would've said Michael Jackson, but JT, I think for me growing up in the modern era, I've followed his career through *NSYNC and then when he came out as a solo artist.
He's just the complete popstar. The voice, the music, the albums; I mean, they are ridiculous albums. Unbelievable. I met him at [Capital's] Summertime Ball last year and had a chat with him and got a picture. It was amazing and very special.
My first concert was Justin Timberlake when I was 19. I never had the money to go to a concert and my parents didn't like the same music as me, so we never went together. It was the Justified tour. He did 'Cry Me A RIver', 'Like I Love You' and a bit of a *NSYNC medley - it was just a ridiculous gig. The girls there and everything.
I was 19 thinking, 'Right, definitely going to pull tonight. Don't you worry about that.' I went into the Docklands arena and realised very quickly that no-one was there to pull. They were all there to perve and shout at Justin Timberlake! But I do remember thinking, 'One day I hope I get the chance to do that.'
