Right. She already has the smallest role possible as she has been the opener on Kouhaku for the past few years and everybody knows the opening slot is the worst with the lowest ratings.

But yeah like you said whatever the reason is, she won't be attending anymore. It makes me sad because it really feels like the end of an era.

On a lighter note Kumi is shooting her album cover today!

+ It's been the only constant promotional activity she's done each era this decade. She's only done a handful of performances on TV in the past 3ish years and I was hoping to be able to have something to watch / gif from her that wasn't a concert.

Well on the bright side at least she may perform the new single on the Music Station Super Live like last year. Even if she did perform on Kohaku they would have made her do an old song anyway.

I hope she does! True, but her performances on Kohaku have always been so flashy that it made up for it. Her outfit for her INSPIRE performance last year was everything!

JAPONESQUE CD+DVD 1st press is my favorite Kuu album cover ever. and the CD-only is my 2nd favorite, nnn. I agree on Bon Voyage's covers, they were kinda basic. The props looked so out of place against the white background (ESPECIALLY the fan club ver.). Then she had a white outfit on against the white background, it was all just very underwhelming. I've seen some really amazing fan-made versions of it where they actually gave it a ~ship themed~ background tho. At least she looked amazing (as usual).
