This to me is not a circumstance of rape. He wasn't forced to do anything, nor did he fight back. He could have easily over powered that woman and took control of the situation. But this is technically rape. It's sexual assault with no consent. If the project involved not doing anything, this woman came into the project knowing he wasn't going to do **** about her sexual and physical assault (like, whipping really?)
