Well Madonna doesn't use Auto-Tune to make up for her vocal shortcomings, she just uses it to add another dynamic to her music. It was used to give Music and American Life a glitchy abrupt stop-start effect. It's people like Kanye and T-Pain who made it boring. Apparently they didn't get the memo; auto-tune is something that should be used in moderation.
