Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has used a trip to the hardware store to tease big things for the band in 2015.
Late yesterday, 25th November, Armstrong shared a photo (below) via his Instagram account, suggesting that the pop-punk icons will be returning to win over more hearts and minds next year. The image shows a collection of stickers and brass numbers being used to spell out “GREEN DAY 15″.
The caption Armstrong attached to the photo has left fans super-excited. “I’m in a hardware store in Queens, and this is on my mind,” he wrote, concluding with, “#greenday15 #thefutureisnow #greendayforever.”
Im so beyond ready for this, especially after the last era which was so lackluster. Kinda bitter they didn't release anything this year considering 4 was always a lucky year for them.

The trinity was a fail. They should have released Brutal Love though. That could have been a '21' gun sized hit.
21st Century Breakdown is still one of my favourite albums of all time especially Viva La Gloria
I hope the new album is good and not like the mess that was the last 3
