SCREAMING. Good Lord. And Her first 2 singles were so big here. Truly a singles artist at best outside the US.
It was her 2nd album to cross 500k there though. Not bad for a country artist and IKYWT will eventually be her 1st million seller. Is love story past 700k?
Red did so well tbh serving iconic global fearless teas.
Red HAS outsold Fearless WW right? Considering Her move to pop and the money Her label spent on getting Max and Shellback to write hits for Her, it must have, yes???
Fearless did everything so effortlessly, especially when you consider the Grammy acclaim as well. I just want to make sure She didn't peak in Her teens.

Fearless was Lord's country peak & 1989 is her pop peak. RED falls somewhere in between. It's amazing how she has the most important country AND pop albums of our generation.

Do not do Max and Shellback like that. I agree that they are crap, tho. "Fearless" is by far still Lord's best record. I do enjoy "1989" greatly but i fear it will have very little replay value years from now. While songs like "Fifteen" "Love Story" and "Hey Stephen" are timeless.

The truth.
Fearless is Her magnum opus. So sad She peaked so early. She drained Her creativity and is now relying on hitmakers for quick hits. The days when Her eras had longevity and weren't fuelled by short-term marketing schemes. The Tumblr pandering is just tragic.

Songs that have live band instrumentation will age very very well. I'm glad she tried something new with 1989 though its a fantastic album.

We all know that fearless has sold 3m more than red. But yeah she didn't peak in her teens. She's now worth almost 300m. Plus she had her most successful tour and singles whilst in the red tour. And she now looks ready to get her most successful tour yet, already has most successful singles era, smashing album sales and critical acclaim.
Another organic and authentic hit coming for Lord's scientifically engineered music yet again. Lord was not banking on this when She sold out. Maybe She should have kept Her integrity like Miss Trainor is doing.
As of this week, Taylor Swift has sold more albums in the U.S. than any other artist who has emerged since January 2000. Swift’s current album,1989, sold 214K copies this week, which enables her to surpass Linkin Park on Nielsen SoundScan’s running tally of best-selling album artists. That’s impressive because Linkin Park had a six-year head-start on Swift. (Of the 20 best-selling album artists to emerge since 2000, only Adele debuted after Swift.) Here’s the list.
