why Mockingjay Part 1 sucks!
This new trend of splitting a series finale has definitevely arrived to stay, Harry Potter started this trend when back in 2008 they announced that the last book would be split into 2 films to "preserve the integrety of the story"(money, MONEY), to be fair it was an over 700 pages book and it might be reasonable to do so, Deathly Hallows Part 1 was received in the same level as pretty much all the other potter movies and the 2nd Part was acclaimed by critic, being one of 2011's best reviewed films.
This trend however has been embraced by all types of book adaptations now(twilight, hunger games, divergent and the comics are jumping on it with Avengers and Justice League), even Mister Peter Jackson who only planned 2 Hobbit films decided towards the end of the production he would now split There and Back Again into 2 films(later named Desolation and Battle to avoid looking like a half film and atract moviegoers)
In the case of Mockingjay, this split did not seem required, this is a 300 pages book and the least liked by critics and fams of the saga, and the movie suffers from it, although it was nice that they finally introduced the political satire into the saga(wich had nearly been present in the first 2) this movie felt dragged and pointless, and it felt like that because this is nothing but a cashcow that was sent to theathers to duplicate the earnings of the last film. The great pace the first 2 films had(as the books) completely vanished and instead we were left with pointless scenes like the one where Gale and Katniss stare silently to each other by a river for 2 MINUTES, a completely pointless scenee whose only objective is to fill time because they had ran out of ideas on what to put on screen for the first hour of the film.
Don't get me wrong, i loved some of the scenes in this film,i loved some of the artistic license they took on this film like keeping Effie or the Video call between Katniss and Snow, However this does not compensate that these 2 hours could have been mashed into 1h 15m and leave the other 1h 15m for the invasion of the Capitol.
Bye, zorry for the Gospel

It was so bad. I didn't like it at all! It was so boring! It didn't need 2 parts.

I mean, the book barely has enough good material for a single movie. 2 movies made no sense at all.

Critics and Fans seem to disagree as this is the lowest rated film and the least successful(at leats domestically)

Alot of people also disliked the mockingjay book itself, so I'm not surprised.
The reviews are still mainly positive, especally the ones from professional critics.
It will also outgross the first movie WW.

Haven't seen the movie but I can tell you that The Avengers and Justice League are nothing like this situation. Like what point were you trying to make with that

Not it being the most hated by fans and critics when its the favorite by far
The first two books don't compare at all to the genius that is Mockingjay
Also I thought the film was very well done and while it did drag a bit, it set up the second film so damn well. I like how now they have 2+ hours to dedicate entirely to the more interesting part of the book.

Maybe it is a long shot, however if you are marketing a couple of films as Part 1 and Part 2 then it suggest they are the same story protrayed in 2 films, basic train of thought.

In this film we can look behind the mechanism of war and Propaganda like we have not seen in any recent blockbusters before. It's a war film not an action movie, simple minds will never understand, period.

Metacritic 64(lowest of the franchise)
Rotten Tomatoes 66(lowest of the franchise)
143M grossed domestically after 5 days(decreasing in more than 30% from the previous instalment)
So your statement is false

I think the split was absolutely necessary. My problem with the book was that we didn't get to see much of the actual rebellion, but now we get to see some of the stuff that's happening beyond what Katniss experiences. The scenes in Districts 5 and 7 were wonderful and so was the scene in the Capitol. By splitting it into two parts they were able to put in more detail and help make things more impactful.
Besides, if you say the book/movie is boring, you have missed the point completely. Don't be mad that Suzanne Collins didn't appeal to your childish attention span, the book is about how damaged Katniss is, and the role of the media during war, it's not an action book/film.

This book is bad, no matter how you try to "elaborate" reasons of why it is not. The book lacks momentum, depth and detail, i'm not saying you need explosions and deaths to make a book enjoyable(wich do happen in the last act, a lot,A LOT) but the heart of a book, that point where you realize what this all meant is not here, the "twist" she tried to give in the last act is by far silly and predictable.
I loved this trilogy however i was dissapointed by its finale, i will still watch Part 2 next year, i am very exited for the Character Arc President Coin will go through and some other scenes...

Very true. The book was clearly not made to be split into two. I enjoyed it because I know Part 2 is of course coming out but if you're gonna split it up in two parts, they should be able to stand on their own. It felt more like a long TV episode like many people pointed out.

Have ya'll seen the reviews on metacritic/rotten tomatoes? It's the absolute pits so I don't get people say it's the most liked.
