WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?

I got really amazing advice from Madonna. I told her that I can’t date anyone, it’s too difficult, takes too much of my energy and I don’t have time. She said, “If you want to date, have someone for every day of the week and keep them on rotation. Your energy is never gone, but you can make their life a little bit better and they can make your life a little bit better.” At first I thought it was crazy, but then I realised that it’s actually a really good way to not feel lonely. If you just give a little bit of yourself to lots of people who you care about rather than giving all of yourself to one person, I think that’s quite profound.

My god. I am such an advocate of this. Not even in a polygamous way. But just having a few ****-buddies and then maintaining your relationships with your friends. I've lost too many friends because they've entered a relationship and then you just never see them again, and by the time that relationship does end, it's been 4 years and you've both changed so much you barely even know each other anymore.

It's good to put your eggs in a variety of baskets. That way you can minimise the risk of shutting yourself off and/or being hurt

It can be either tragically daft advice or helpful, it just depends on the person. Not everyone can give a little of themselves to different people everyday

This must be the dumbest piece of advice I've ever read . It sounds way harder to devote your time to 7 people and manage to keep them all interested... Not to mention you're just playing people to make yourself feel better. Sounds like a messy as **** situation. Even if the people she's seeing are open and okay with it, I'm sure there'd be jealously involved... Not to mention, what's stopping any one of these people from wanting attention more than once a week. I'm sure if they're really interested they would want more...
