You just insulted Residente bruh. He speaks out about real ****. He also raps about real **** instead of bandwagon hopping on what's currently popular. Macklemore didn't speak out or do **** about Mike Brown until now like the bandwagoner that he is. JCole, TI, and a few others were there in ground zero immediately after it happened. They didn't wait until the day of the verdict to react!
Plus he made himself to be a savior of gays in rap when he didn't nor hasn't even bothered to acknowledge gay rappers who have been doing **** for themselves years before the gay pandering bandwagon began. And all his defenders, hell all his fans/music listeners don't know **** about that because 99.9% of them are pop tart/hip POP listeners who don't know **** about actual hip hop music or its artists. Ask any of them to name 1 gay rapper (besides Azealia Banks' crazy ass) and they'll literally have to scramble to use google! When Macklemore started rapping, he used the stage name Professor Macklemore, no gay support in his music back then tho. and when LG helped abolish don't ask don't tell, as hardcore about the LGBTQ community as he says he is, he shoulda been first in line to help. but guess what?! he was too busy making mixtapes and coincidentally had nothing to do with gay rappers or producers back then either. funny because most people at least interact with the colleagues they swear they support. There's no photographic proof either. add the fact that he's been busted abusing his white privilege while trying to pass himself off as something he is not.
Also, there are tons of white underground rappers who have been literally protesting about Ferguson since day 1: Atmosphere, Alchemist, DJ Green Lantern, Mike Shinoda (linkin park), Ariano Price, LMNO, Matthew Neutron, RYU, etc. None of these guys are getting publicity. Hell i doubt any of Macklemore's fans know who they are! they all rap about real **** too they don't pander to what's currently popular. A few have also (gasp) worked with or collabed with gay rappers/producers and are friends with them and haven't shown up blasting trumpets like Macklemore.
And FYI I was protesting in LA while most of y'all's sat on your ass bitching about those of us calling foul on Macklemore. Sorry not sorry that not all of us buy into his bs!!
