They didn't put her in the same league as Alanis, they just said she'd be selling like Alanis (which I highly doubt). Even if people were still buying albums like it's the 90's, I only think OOTB would sell a third of what JLP sold at most. I mean, I love Katy but let's face it, her music is throwaway pop that won't come anywhere near the legacy Alanis had back then.
