I don't think this comment is true. Lana isn't mainstream, but she sells decent amount of records worldwide. She has a lot of fans globally under the radar. People know who she is. And she's definitely not a local whatsoever in the state of Georgia. When she came here to Music Midtown, one of the biggest festivals in the US, she had an audience that stretched 3 football fields. They covered the entire park of Music Midtown. It took me 15-20 minutes to get out of the crowd. Eminem was the headliner, but Lana's audience was insanely massive, maybe bigger or equally the size of Eminem's audience turn out.
Don't underestimate her popularity. She's a global act even if she's not largely spoken of in public. I even have co-workers that know her music and conversations with strangers about her, that either love her or dislike her.
