This thread is intended for everyone to share their tips and tricks on how to save money.
I'll start off with mine. I keep a jar in my car and anytime I have pocket change or find loose change in my car I put it in there until it's full. The few times I've actually managed to fill it up I've gotten over $100 from that alone.
So what are some things you do here and there to save a quick dollar?
Actually using my savings account. A lot of people I know have $25 in their savings, and that's typically the amount one has to pay just to have the account, lolz. Plus I'm not an adventurous spender. Buying things that are high in price takes a lot of debating on my part.

This.
Keep most of your money in your savings account! I accumulated like $5 in interest this year! #Rich
I don't need to. I have about €1200 interest and I never worked myself. 15 years old right now. Planninh to get a minimum wage (~€3.50 per hour) job sooner or later, though.
If I want to buy something expensive (like a phone atm) I usually spend very little of my allowance weekly. I'm a uni student so I eat lunch at the uni cafeteria almost every day so I save up lots of money.
Try actually having a spreadsheet of how much you earn and how much you need, I repeat NEED to spend. Overestimate your expenses and underestimate your income. You'll never be short of cash that way, and whatever you have left, only use 50% (or preferably less of it) on yourself. The rest should go into a savings account. At least that's how I do...
A lot of different banks have it set up to where you can have a certain % of every direct deposit put into savings automatically. You'll be saving money without ever even seeing it, which is the best way. Less temptation.
Something like $5 or $10 is enough to start with. If you think of it like having four paychecks a month, you'd be putting $20-$40 away a month.
I still even have birthday money (my birthday was July).
!!!
Like, I was always raised frugal so I'll go on "spending sprees" of like $50 and then stop for a week thinking I'm buying too much ****, leaving me with literally hundreds at the end of the month.

My bank account transfers $1 to my savings every time I use my debit card. It adds up.
