will,i.am was not a star. He was a flop before the song, so collabing with him in no shape or form meant Britney leeched off any popularity he had. Scream and Shout became a smash because it's like a Black Eyed Peas song with Britney filling in the spot for Fergie. That's why they both flopped afterwards when breaking away from that. I would say Britney's collab with Miley would give you guys a point, but SMS wasn't released as a single. If this Iggy collab becomes a single, then it's her first collab single where the other artist had star power beforehand.
