I like some country music, but Kelly's too good for it. Those 5th octave belts should not be wasted on a genre built around basic vocal performances (excluding queen Carrie ofc). If anything, she should do a soul album before she does a country album.

Sis, TIU is by FAR her worst country single.
But I would not be against a country album if she serves me some Miranda-esque songs and Call Me-ish epicness. Not here for any ''I drive my chevy truck and drink beer in my trailer'' mess.

For real. The weird truth is despite how involved and connected she is, country music is not here for solo Kelly -- at least not yet.
I like AIEW, its production is flawless and it has some amazing gems, but Breakaway, My december & Stronger are much better imo AIEW was just a bit too pop-ish
And btw, AG and Cry are two of my fave Kelly songs ever
Tbh MD is very specific imo. Some of its songs are pretty crappy but when you listen to the album in full, they all seem entirely flawless. Concept album I guess.

I agree with you! I don't care what everyone else says, Tie It Up is adorable and I love it. Better than her other country singles.
I'm debating playing it at my wedding….
But I don't really want a country album ever. I'm not a big fan of country usually. Maybe an EP would be good though.

AIEW is absolutely her most underrated album. It's really good and I love how diverse it is. But with masterpieces like MD and Breakaway just a TINY bit better, it has to be a commendable 3rd place.
