Yep, 13 years now. I remember getting a bunch of pamphlets on how to feel and 'explanations' of possible reasons why. Didn't care too much though, my dad's a douche anyway.
My Mom is planning on divorcing my dad after 20 years. Right now they are still technically married, but it's inevitable and will happen at this point. She wants him to get his mother's property in Alabama so that he can retire there and his other kids can take care of him.
They just celebrated their 27th anniversary just last week. I'm very lucky to have parents that have had four children and still manage to maintain their relationship, since I know most people especially in the US have divorced parents, unfortunately
