These kinds of games always get better scores than they deserve

8/10 is a great score for this kind of game.

Remember, it's a Party Game for goodness sake. Yes, it has some great points, but seriously, it's not like it has a lot of depth to it. It's a small arena game with some combo attacks.

A 94 on Metacritic is well deserving.

I mean, I still don't know how PlayStation All Stars got 75 on Metacritic. It deserves like a 52 at best

I love these games, but people thinking that 94 is underrated, should be grateful it got more than 90. Most games with this amount of depth, don't.

I've played 64 and Brawl. And a quick play through of Melee.

I liked the Adventure mode in Brawl, but if you seriously think a game like this has the same amount of depth as the Last of Us or Super Mario Galaxy to be getting 10/10 scores then

Apart from choosing an arena, choosing your characters and using combo orientated attacks and bonus attacks to complete the goal, what else is there?

There is so much depth, just as much depth as any other fighting game. Countless number of different modes and games in the game. Not to mention the gameplay is sooo deep. It's accessible but that doesn't mean it isn't deep or can't be mastered. It can be a button masher or the most precise fighting game ever. Have you ever watched those Smash Bros pro tournaments?
