There is something you seem to not understand. The illegal downloaders are not going to buy albums even if they shut down all the illegal music sources (which is impossible but we will pretend it is just to prove a point). If every single source of downloading illegal music went away, I would still not buy CD's. I would just go back to listening to music on youtube, the radio, etc... Most people would do the same, therefore us illegal downloaders are probably costing the music industry very little.
On a side note, it is funny to see all the people who think they are righteous because they get their music legally.
