I don't know what the next decade will bring.... but I hope that it marks a return to INTELLIGENCE in music.... some of the stuff that comes out now is just plain stupid.... not all, but some. For example, we do not need ANY more songs about the CLUB!!!!! Look to the 80s & 90s for inspiration.... look at The Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson (Rhythm Nation album in particular), Ace of Base, The Cranberries, Seal, Mariah Carey's early work, No Doubt (especially Tragic Kingdom), Jewel, etc.... that is the kind of stuff that needs to come back (or at least be more prominent).... the club, booties, etc. are all overrated & annoying.

I agree, songs like what Britney is releasing is just the tip of the ice berg. And people like the Jonas Brothers .. they need to go away and go back to their Disney Channel and STAY their and get off of things LIKE THE DAMN GRAMMYS!!! I will admit Mariah is starting to go down that path of music that is a hit for a year and then dies out. I want her to amke songs like she used to make that twenty years later people are still in love with. I love her music these days dont get me wrong but I wouldnt mind some old stuff. And people like Madonn who USED to be the queen is just grose now, she tiehr needs to realize she is FIFTY or stop making music. And we need REAL talent back in the music industry ..
