Some are Privilege some are not… why generalize people? I mean Anderson Cooper is Privilege because he was born with money has had a great career and he lives a better life than a poor straight guy living somewhere in the rural mountains of Tennessee?

Should Anderson go to this poor backward area, find a poor straight man and tell him to his face how privilege he is for been born straight?

They have more rights than we do.

They can go to any mainstream movie and see themselves represented tenfold.
They can hold hands with/kiss their significant other in the seediest of neighborhoods without fearing for their lives.
They can have a normal conversation about their lover without having to "explain" anything.
They don't have to worry about possibly being fired from their job due to an irrational hatred of "their kind".
They don't have to come out as straight because they are and always will be the default.

I could go on and on tbh but this topic has been beaten to death so I'll just await the stampede of #justice4straights/#reverseracism warriors to arrive like always

True, but a gay person can hide their sexuality from the public. A black person can't really hide the fact that they're black...

It is not dumb. Oprah is a Privilege Rich Black Woman than an Average White woman.

I am Latino and I feel privilege than a lot of people. Even many Whites.

Oprah and Anderson Cooper are rarities, not standards. They're called famous celebrities for a reason. If the majority of black/gay people lived like Oprah and Anderson Cooper then you would be right, but they don't.

Also Oprah, as a famous black celebrity, has talked about racism that she's experienced multiple times. I don't keep up with Anderson so I don't know about him, but I'm sure he's dealt with his fair share of homophobia as well.

Well, it's impossible to hide being gay with all the stereotypes. Just liking a certain artist can give it away.. like Taylor Swift for instance.

I think to be able to discuss some things you have to be able to remove your self and the sense of the individual. While it is nice to think of everyone as unique, there are statistics that prove certain things that are more likely to occur to a person because of a factor beyond their control (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.)

This one isn't even debatable, like in many states you can be refused service for being gay and that's fine.

This is a fact and I dont think it ever needs to be questioned.
