My baby (you can see her here http://instagram.com/p/pQ5yicyp0j/?modal=true) just turned 1 this saturday and I tear up whenever I imagine myself without her, it' legit the thing that makes me the saddest, I'd rather lose a arm or a leg

I don't know tbh Might have been a heart condition that couldn't have been detected, an aneurism or a heart attack or something like that. Honestly don't know though, I'm still in shock.
I lost many pets since I was a kid and it was always hard. They are like a part of the family, so I understand what you're going through. Do you have other pets? I'd suggest you get another dog if you're feeling too lonely.
This really is one of the worst things. I've dealt with this twice within the same week. We had two cats that were sisters from the same litter and they both died when they were 16 about a week apart from each other. We'd had them for longer than I'd been alive, they were 3 when I was born so I literally had never been without them. All I can say is it's okay to cry, cry, and cry some more and feel like crap for the first couple months afterwards, it's better to get all your sad feelings out rather than bottle them up and try to ignore them. My family got new kittens immediately afterwards so we were distracted from the death and it didn't feel quite so empty without them, but I know it can be difficult for other people to just take on a new pet like that.
Losing a pet is the worst. Only time will heal your pain.
I agree, it really just seems like its going to take a while. Hopefully in the next few days I won't be as depressed as I am now at least.

Thank you I have another dog, and that's also making me sad....I feel so bad for him, he's missing his companion

That's so sad, I'm so sorry to hear that
I agree. I've let myself cry a bunch already. It feels better to get it out than it does to keep it in.
5 of my pet cats died this year due to an unknown and contagious disease. I never had the chance to have them checked up by a veterinarian because there is none here. Only 2 of them survived. This is the saddest year of my life.

I have two female long haired
dachsunds, 9 and 5 years old, and when they are gone, im gona cry so much im not gona know how not crying will feel like anymore, its gona be the saddest day of my whole life and i dont know how i will ever get over it, how will i cope with it ever, i will probably go into a deep depression for a long time. Thanks so much guys. I just had another good long cry. Everything reminds me of him, like he was such a huge part of every single day and so many details are reminding me of him. I also keep finding pieces of his hair on my clothes
I'm glad I'm facing it head on though and getting all of my emotions out, I think that will help me to cope with it sooner. I want to have some drinks and get drunk tbh but I've heard that its a bad idea to drink when you're upset like this, so maybe I should wait a few days.
This is truly something that you only understand if you have a pet (as shown in this thread). I might get another one eventually but nobody will ever be able to replace him.
