Snapchat has introduced a new feature named 'Snapcash' today! A feature where you can send money back and forth with your snapchat account to other people. This feature is for only 18+ members.
What do you think about this new feature?
Good & Safe way to do transactions or the new age of 'online prostitution'?
Some feel this is a way to get money from sending explicit images using snapchat and getting cash in return. A poor move on Snapchat's part?
- Links to your Credit Card or Debit Card.
- You send the money by typing $[cash amount]
- Only for users 18+ (must make a Square account to use the feature)
- All Snapchat users must be 18+ now (though there is no verification process)
I don't think you guys understand how serious this is. This is going to now ENCOURAGE people to send explicit images, and in most cases get scammed. I am not one to '****-shame' but I do think robbing innocence from people who just want money is upsetting.
