A study of hundreds of brothers has added to evidence that there is a genetic component in determining who men are sexually attracted to, but makes clear that there is more to it than a “gay gene”
As with so many aspects of human behavior, sexuality has long been subject to a “nature versus nurture” debate, but the idea that people who are attracted to the same-sex are born this way has resonated with LGBT activists and allies. When framed this way, discriminating against them for something beyond their control is similar to discriminating against someone for their gender or the color of their skin. While this makes logical sense, its validity has been occasionally challenged.
BAD SCIENCE, VERY BAD SCIENCE. I say this as someone who is studying molecular biology and is moving onto a graduate program in genetics in the next year or two, the idea that there is a "gay gene" is literally the stupidest thing ever. The article says there are many genetic factors, and that there appears to be a strong correlation, but that's not the same thing as a "gay gene." Ugh.
Then why are the majority of boys who are sexually abused as children gay? Just one big coincidence? HA
No. The post in the OP is arguing that while there is clearly some correlation between the genes in all of these gay brothers, it's only one part of why someone is gay.

its actually the OP that has misquoted the study. It is only evidence which builds to support the case that homosexuality MIGHT be genetic or a quality dependent on conditions in the womb.

I'm gonna need you to back this up with some substantial evidence.
Even if this was true, it literally does not mean **** because a) not ALL gay men were abused as children b) not ALL abused children turn out to be gay.
And just when the cold weather is coming, too.
