It's silly to take sides or assume things when we have no evidence + on top of that it really isn't any of our business.

I'm pretty sure "Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply in cases of rape? At least, it doesn't in the UK (/England, the thing I was reading was English Law related). The assumption from the police from the moment someone reports they have been raped is that they are telling the truth until there's evidence to confirm they were raped or are lying. Like, I'm sure you can't prosecute based on word alone, but the assumption is still there.

Stops the disgusting attitude which accuses all women of being liars for reporting rape until they provide evidence that proves it anyway. That's one of the main reasons why so few people report rape, horrible.


Luke saying that his case is outside the statute of limitations does seem fishy, but I suppose he might just want the case dismissed as soon as possible to sorta clear his name?

Um, well, it's a rape case surrounding two major figures that nearly all members are familiar with, and one of whom has a very large fanbase here.

But moreover, the attitudes in here are incredibly indicative of ignorant attitudes toward women who've been raped and of sheer insensitivity toward them, reducing this to a mere stan war; most of the people taking Luke's side here are just people are dedicated Kesha haters who are literally projecting their hatred from her music to her as a person, going so far as refusing to believe her and cheering for someone who may very well have committed a rape.

Even if you believe Luke did not rape her, the fact remains that for the good of all, Ke$ha needs to be released from her contract with him so that she can make good music. Better music than most of your faves.

If he has to be wrongfully convicted in Ke$ha's suit for that to happen, then so be it. Her music is more important to me than Luke not having to register as a sex offender or go to prison or whatever might happen to him.

She doesn't want money, she wants to be released from contract so that she can have creative freedom and live her life and make her own music. If all she gave a **** about was money, she'd stay in her contract and have him churn out song after song for her. She's one of the few pop girls who actually give a **** about her music and bothers to try to make it authentic and good and who has the talent to actually do so. She couldn't give a **** about money in the long run.

The justice system is not omniscient.

I think I believe Kesha, but I won't believe Dr. Luke is a rapist until it's proven. I mean, it's ridiculous to blindly believe someone you've never even met before. He might be innocent. It's a difficult situation.
