Her 57-year-old husband passed away this summer, a victim of cancer. But Maria Raybould says T-Mobile UK wouldn’t stop sending his cellphone bills and late payment alerts to her home.
So she visited a local store with his ashes in hand.
The Wales widow told a local news outlet that her late husband, David, had been paying £26 ($40) a month to T-Mobile UK (a differently owned and operated company from T-Mobile in the United States) for a contract plan. Since the charges were being directly debited from his bank account, Raybould’s son went in person to close his father’s line a day after he died, thinking it would be “one less thing for us to worry about.”
I remember reading something like this where Bell kept charging the parents of a girl who committed suicide after telling them over and over again what happened.
This is not good. TMobile should've just let them out of their contract if they wanted it so badly. All they should've had to do was show the death certificate.
They're vile TRASH. When my father died, my mom contacted them so that contract can continue on her name. Next month the $300 bill came for cancelling the services. She was PISSEDT; poor operator who got to talk to her, she dragged everyone in that damn company.
They apologized and took back the bill. And then tried to get her to sing up for some more services. She literally screamed.
They should just believe people and this would not happen.
