Ugh at me not praising the VMA performance to high performance. To this day I watch that and am just amazed at how flawlessly executed that performance was. The choreo, the ideas, the imagery, the hoard of dancers, the simplistic yet effective staging, the boo-ing intro. That performance deserved so, so, SO much more. Instead that insert-expletive-here-feat-misogynist-comment Miley stole all the attention by acting like a total word-that-would-get-me-banned-for-months.
And the rest of us were left with a varying degree of Gretchen gifs, those who were dragged had the 'bang, bang, he shot me down' one and those who were praised/not mentioned had the shady ones.

Aside from the perfection of some of those performances and content, back when ARTPOP dropped and she was in NY and London, she was literally serving 2-3 looks per day. Granted some were catastrophic, but some really slayed and were only used for a quick walk to or from her building. Something tells me next era won't have that level of fashion...

So we're essentially in the last week of the era since Monday night is less than 7 days away in UK/Europe time... As much as we drag ARTPOP's performance, watch this base go silent AF when a blackout ensues save for Grammy nom night and the odd C2C performance that gives us a lift for less than 20 minutes.
