US singer Katy Perry has been wrongly handed one of the main prizes at France's main music award ceremony.
Perry collected the trophy for best international song at the NRJ Awards in Cannes, thinking she had won - but it was intended for Rihanna for Disturbia.
Host Nikos Aliagas said there had been a mistake in the vote-counting.
Perry did legitimately scoop the best international album prize, while other winners included Enrique Iglesias, the Pussycat Dolls and the Jonas Brothers.
French singer Christophe Mae won two awards - for best French song and best French male - while Mylene Farmer won best French album.
The winners at the ceremony - the French answer to the Grammys or the Brits - were voted for by listeners of radio station NRJ.
Perry was among the international stars at the annual event, which was celebrating its 10th birthday.
Coldplay singer Chris Martin performed a solo song, while US R&B star Akon, soul icon Seal and pop chart-topper Duffy were among the other performers.
The NRJ Awards was the most glittering event of the opening day of the annual Midem music industry conference in Cannes.

how i dont know... her album was atrociously bland, and her voice was beyond whiny and annoying, i BOUGHT the album, and it was probably the most wasted money I spent on a CD in a LONG time.
her album sucks, im not gonna lie .. maybe is because after lsitening to the really good song I Kissed A Girl [even though now I hate it and its obnoxious] & Hot N Cold the rest of the album just plaes in compariosn. and plus her new single is really bad .. it wont do well at all .. but yeah that had to be so embaressing for her

Her album does not suck it just take some time to really get into it, I hated the album at the beginning but now I'm obsessed with it, i love albums like that!
