In order for it have been impact, it would have to be something that's associated with Britney. and dubstep definitely isn't associated with Britney. If it was so impactful, wouldn't the song be remembered?

Yes and aside from the conversation of "who did it first?", dub step would have to be an impactful thing in pop music for it to actually matter.

Despite no one surprise releasing, that still had major impact. It's highly memorable and very individual.

That wasn't my point. I know it was not in pop music before Britney, or at least not majorly known, but the genre was blowing up when Britney already did it. It was becoming less of a cult and more mainstream. Those early adopters had already moved on from it as it got known as "Brostep" and was seen as being cheesy. Skrillex was getting VERY mainstream.
