The expecting mothers being aware of the option aren't the problem.
The problem is that there aren't enough people to adopt and care for all those kids and most mothers KNOW that's not really giving their child a good life at all.
This problem would be so much smaller if we actually taught people to take birth control and use condoms like every other first world country on Earth, shaking my head.
