Just search "Alexandra Shipp Aaliyah", it's worse than Zendaya's case, so I don't think that she was fired. If so, then they should've cancelled the whole biopic if backlash is the reason behind all this "Zendaya got fired" mess. They were more mad that Lifetime is making a biopic rather than Zendaya getting the lead role.
