I would guess it's the latter and was going to be the single we were supposed to get in September and that would've silenced the divorced rumors and capitalized on all the press, but Bey decided not to release songs before the PE.
The bridge especially. And I feel like this is a lot fuller, I don't know if it's the crowd noise but I feel like the percussion, backing vocals and guitar riffs feel a lot more immersive and less hollow.
