I haven't given my number to anyone here but I still feel as though I've made some real friends. I don't believe giving out your personal information constitutes being "real ATRL friends" however to each their own.
There's nothing wrong with meeting people on ATRL or over the internet, my Cousin met her husband on some website where they talk about cars, and Lana Del Rey has internet friends.
