I don't stan for Taylor. In fact I was one of her biggest critics in the past see my previous posts for reference. But I've grown to respect her and 1989 had a lot of effort put into it and was an excellent album.

When I say britney is influential, is because people, in the music industry, copied her. They tried to follow her steps, music-wise and even look-wise, and some of them actually admit. Britney's music changed the whole pop landscape, and even now, almost 15 years after her debut, a lot of singers still cite her as one of their influences. I have yet to see somebody say "i wrote this song because ts influenced me" or "im singing because taylor influenced me". Sorry

Yeah Lorde influenced Taylor because Taylor was a songwriter at the age of 12 for Sony Music & debuted her first album at 16 in 2006/2007 while Lorde didn't debut in the music scene until 2011/2012.

Britney was considerably more successful. Fearless was as big as Britney (Britney's third album) and that was Taylor's peak.
