Excessive PDA from anyone, gay or straight, is tacky.

For me it would be awkward and make me uncomfortable personally, because i know that all eyes would be on me and I would be potentially putting myself in danger considering how many hateful people there are out there.

I think that choosing to not show gay affection in public is more of a form of self protection than self hatred.

So all straight people should continue to demonstrate their privilege of PDA because it's more widely accepted?

The thing about "gay PDA" is that even a small kiss is considered "EXCESSIVE" for homophobes. Most people have no problem seeing a straight couple sucking face, but the moment they see two dudes holding hands, the "you're pushing your sexuality into my face" card is pulled. For me, I don't do it simply for safety, but for those who do, more power to you.

Hand-holding and a kiss or two is fine but other than that, nah.

Also it depends how public of a place you're in. If you are at a huge place with lots of people, no one will notice so a bit more is okay.

I get grossed out seeing anybody kiss in public tbh. Holding hands is obviously not a problem.

I don't like PDA in general no matter what the genders of the partners are. Hand holding is completely fine and a peck goodbye is fine too but anything else is just too much

I love people to show and express their feelings in public. What is bad is expressing hate/racism/etc...

I'm not a fan of PDA overall, but you should at least be able to hold hands with your man and not have to think much of it. I mean it's 2014 people. If others don't like it they need to get over themselves.

People should be able to express the,selves however they want.

Don't blame the victim (gays) for this. It's like saying it's their own fault for not avoiding this.

PDA in regards to specific sexualities is harmful. It should be handled the same for everybody, whatever that decision is.

I get really uncomfortable when I'm near PDA, period. So...no. But of course, everyone should be allowed to do so without consequence.
